This is a summarized version of the original article in Spanish.
In 2018, the Telecommunications Regulation Commission (CRC) published 9 main general rules: 2 assignments to social use numbers (1XY), the temporary exceptions to the compliance with the mobile equipment homologation and the separate accounting (until the entry into force of both modified rules, respectively) , the exception of the compliance of the indicators to the operators that provide services in the municipalities with low performance, the clarification of those who are responsible for the costs of the mobile portability, the modification of the regulation of internal telecom networks (RITEL), the non-tie of the service contract with the sale of the equipment, and the temporary registration to the white list for test equipment in the mobile networks. In addition, 6 public consultations are underway: the separate accounting, the access and interconnection regulation, the simplification of the CRC regulatory framework, the revision of the fixed service remuneration scheme, the access to TV reception, and the modifications on the national automatic roaming and the relevant mobile markets.
